Paper textures
We've sourced a huge variety of different paper stocks, ranging in all sorts of materials, GSM's and states of cleanliness.
These textures add a lot of extra soul to your final photo - those old photos you've saved to your mood board have probably been scanned in, and part of that look is the stocks they've been printed on!
Film borders
Our film borders have been meticulously extracted from plenty of different formats of film, put through several different scanners to ensure interesting and diverse results! This frame is from a 6x4.5 medium format camera.
These are formatted for immediate use, and are super easy to drag and drop your photos onto.
Complex, unique textures
The typical quick and easy ways to add texture to your photos have tended to be the grain slider in Lightroom and the noise filter in Photoshop. The draw backs to these, however, is that they're not organic and can be reductive compared with the nuanced, unique and complex textures found in papers, magazines and other found materials. The extra effort goes a long way!

What programs do I need to use this pack?
You'll need Adobe Photoshop to utilise our Grainmaker tools properly. This is due to the nature of our additive, modular work flow which we've found Photoshop caters for best.
Are these real textures and borders?
Yes! We've spent a lot of time and energy carefully digitising and preparing the finest paper textures and film borders we can.
We've used multiple industry scanners and other machines to finesse these elements and have them be high-quality, usable assets.
Are they exclusively for photography?
If you're handy with Photoshop, we've included the individual paper textures as downloads, as well as the Film Borders working document, so if you're a designer, mixed media artist, or whatever other label, feel free to use these however you wish!
