Grain structures
An essential part of film magic lies in the grain and texture.
We've collected the finest grain structures out - complete with tiny scuffs, scratches, creases, spots of chemistry, and other imperfections. These unique details are essential for creating nuanced grain.

First of the frame burns
The first frame on a roll of film often has a unique 'burn' across a portion of the photograph. This is a result of light hitting a portion of the negative while loading a roll into a camera.

Date and time imprints
A lot of film cameras, especially point and shoots from the 80's - 00's, had the ability to print the date, time and sometimes special messages in the corner of the frame.
We've found all the rarest and most exciting imprints out there and collected them for your use.

Light leaks and fogging
A common artefact you see in film photography are light leaks, where light has entered the camera and exposed extra luminescence across the frame. These come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours, and are perfect for adding extra grit and texture to your photos.

Not every roll of film ends up perfect!
Water leaking through rolls, film with mould, moscato leaking into a bag all over a film camera, pen marks; there's endless ways for strange artefacts to turn up on film negatives, and we've made sure to pluck out all the strangest ones!
Made from industry lab machines
All our analogue artefacts have come from real film, processed through real machines, with an absolute attention to detail and quality.
We have carefully acquired and mainted some of the finest film processors, scanners and other lab machines to ensure the finest quality possible.



Spot the difference
To create the best colour gradings of film stocks we could, we shot endless amounts of side-by-side photographs on film and digital, using the exact same exposure settings and focal lengths, then painstakingly matched the colours and tones.
